Rediscover Club Street’s Rich Heritage at Club Street Laundry & Hup San Social Club

At the heart of Ann Siang Hill, Club Street Laundry and Hup San Social Club are bringing soul, spice, and storytelling back to one of Singapore’s most historic corners. What was once the site of Hup San Laundry — a community fixture in the early 20th century — has been reimagined as a vibrant, modern hospitality concept led by an internationally recognised team.

On the ground floor, Club Street Laundry channels the spirit of connection with a globally-inspired take on modern Australian cuisine. Chef Justin Hammond (of Neon Pigeon and Underdog Inn fame) leads the kitchen with bold, inventive cooking rooted in fermentation, fire, and honest flavour. It’s not just a café or a restaurant — it’s a gathering space for the new generation of global citizens who call Singapore home.

The panoramic set up offer views of Club Street’s iconic shophouses, creating an immersive environment where local history and contemporary culture sit side by side. Open from brunch to late-night dinner, the venue offers a carefully curated food and wine experience — from Beet & Goat Cheese Salads to flame-grilled Beef Cheeks — each dish a tribute to travel, taste, and tradition.

Just below, down a discreet staircase, lies Hup San Social Club — a hidden 12-seat cocktail bar unlike any other. Curated by award-winning mixologist June Baek, this basement speakeasy is where emotion and mixology meet. Its debut menu, Do What Brings You Joy, invites guests to pick a mood as much as a cocktail. The experience is personal, playful, and intimate — like walking into someone’s dream you don’t want to wake from.

From its historic namesake to its forward-thinking execution, Club Street Laundry and Hup San Social Club aren’t just new venues — they’re love letters to Singapore’s immigrant past, present-day diversity, and shared future. Whether you come for the coffee, the cocktails, or the company, you’ll leave with a story.
